Overview

To obtain your Recreational Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) [RPL(A)], you must first pass a theory examination. Our comprehensive course will fully prepare you for your RPL(A) Examination.

Prerequisites

Passes in Year 10 Mathematics and Science.

Conduct

Either 8 x 45 minute lessons per day over ten days, full time, conducted each weekday, from 0800 to 1700 hours; OR 4 x 45 minute lessons per day over twenty evenings, conducted each weekday, from 1800 to 2200 hours; at the GFT Theory & Briefing Room, Hangar 3, 26-28 Lockheed Close, West Sale Airport, Victoria, 3851.

Examination

  • Students will receive additional notes and practice questions throughout the course and will have access to ongoing support throughout their study period.
  • The CASA RPL(A) Exam is conducted in-house, subject to prior booking, the duration is 2.0 hours and the pass mark is 70%.

The sitting fee is $120 and the CASA fee is $65.
