Theory Course Information

Overview

This course is designed for aircrew operating aircraft fitted with the P&WC PT-6A Engine. This engine is very common in General Aviation aircraft, such as the Cessna 208, PC12 and King Air.  Are you a Commercial Pilot seeking employment in charter?  Get the edge over the competition with a firm understanding of the PT6A engine systems and handling.

Prerequisites

Private Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) minimum and AFTS’s GTE Theory Course.

Conduct

Either 8 x 45 minute lessons over one day, from 0800 to 1700 hours; OR 4 x 45 minute lessons per day over two evenings, from 1800 to 2200 hours; at the SFT Theory &  Briefing Room, Hangar 3, 26-28 Lockheed Close, West Sale Airport, Victoria, 3851.

Examination

In-house, 20 questions, 60 minutes allowed, pass mark 75%.
