Overview

This course is designed to assist the trainee to pass the challenging IREX Examination as well as succeeding in their flying training for the Instrument Rating.

Prerequisites

Private Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) minimum.

Conduct

Either 8 x 45 minute lessons per day over ten days, from 0800 to 1700 hours; OR 4 x 45 minute lessons per day over twenty evenings, from 1800 to 2200 hours; at the GFT Theory & Briefing Room, Hangar 3, 26-28 Lockheed Close, West Sale Airport, Victoria, 3851.

Examination

The CASA IREX Exam duration is 3 hours and 30 minutes and the pass mark is 70%.

CASA Examinations are provided by Aspeq Exam Centres from Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays, and are subject to prior booking.

The sitting fee is $103.61 and the CASA Fee is $65.
