CASR Subpart 64.B – Taxiing approval
This course is conducted over two days’ full time and provides the Skills, Knowledge and appropriate Behaviours to safely and confidently start, taxi, park and shutdown single or multi-engine aeroplanes, depending upon your specific requirements.
The classroom component covers Aeroplane Type Knowledge and Air Law whilst the practical component – in your aeroplane/s or ours – covers the normal and emergency ground operation of aeroplanes.
CASR Subpart 64.C – Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (‘AROC’)
This course is conducted over 1.5 days’ full time and provides the Skills, Knowledge and appropriate Behaviours to safely and confidently operate aircraft radios and transponders on the ground, depending upon your specific requirements.
The classroom component covers Aeronautical Radio Telephony and Air Law whilst the practical component – in your aeroplane/s or ours – covers the normal and abnormal operation of radios (HF, VHF and/or UHF, as required) and transponders.
The AROC is tailored to meet your local base requirements as determined by the Class/es of airspace and any local ATC. If your aerodrome is Certified you will need the AROC before being allowed to taxi under your Subpart 64.B approval.
Both courses can be run in conjunction with each other at our base or at your home airport/aerodrome/airfield.
Note that the Subpart 64.B – taxiing approval is issued by the Instructor upon completion of the training, whereas the Subpart 64.C – AROC is issued by CASA after submitting an on-line application.
